Charities Aid Foundation CEO pays tribute to Harry Moseley

John Low, Chief Executive of the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), has paid tribute to 11-year-old Harry Moseley, an inspiring young fundraiser, who has died.
Harry was diagnosed with a brain tumour four years ago and since then has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for Brain Tumour UK and Cancer Research UK by making and selling bracelets. His ‘Help Harry Help Others’ campaign has inspired many others to fundraise for those charities. In 2009 he was voted ‘Britain’s Kindest Kid’, CAF and Five News’ initiative to recognise and reward the achievements of kids who have done amazing things to help a charity, their community, or an individual.
John Low paid tribute saying: “This is a very sad day. Harry’s campaign touched thousands of people and raised a staggering amount of money. Despite his illness he worked tirelessly making bracelets to help others suffering from cancer. He was truly an inspiration and really deserved the title Britain’s Kindest Kid.”
Harry’s achievement was also recognised by Richard Taylor, Executive Director of Fundraising & Marketing at Cancer Research UK. He said: “Harry was an inspiration to children and adults alike in his quest to raise awareness of brain cancer through his campaign ‘Help Harry Help Others’. He single handedly raised over £85,000 for brain cancer research by fundraising and selling hand-made bracelets.
“He also helped Cancer Research UK raise hundreds of thousands of pounds by supporting our work and speaking about his illness at events.”
