Charities to benefit from income from Father’s Day card sales

Greetings card company Charity Greetings is helping charities to fundraise from the sale of Father’s Day cards this weekend.
In 2010, Spring season sales of greeting cards were worth £154.5 million with a total of almost 86.5 million cards being sent for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter and Father’s Day.
Charity Greetings founder Craig Hartzel said: “The greetings card industry is worth £1.47 billion per year. Charities should be taking their cut all year round, not just at Christmas. The only problem is that it is very expensive to buy stock and fulfil demand and lots of charities simply can’t take on that extra burden. We wanted to provide a solution to this problem and believe that Charity Greetings has done just that.”
Charity Greetings’ current charity clients include the Alzheimer’s Society, Dogs Trust and Sightsavers.
Hartzel added: “This Mother’s Day, charities with a card shop raised an average of £2.14 per Mother’s Day card sold – Father’s Day is likely to also see good results.”
The company provides each charity with a personalised online cards store that integrates with their website. All of the technology, stock and card fulfilment is handled by the company. Every card purchased raises funds for the charities.
