Howard Lake | 28 February 2011 | News

Andrew Watt is to become the first non-American to be president and chief executive of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) in the States.
Watt has served as AFP’s chief programs officer since October 2007, and before that was president of international development. Before that he worked for nearly 10 years at the Institute of Fundraising here in the UK, ultimately as deputy chief eecutive.
The board selected Watt after an extensive, international search. He succeeds Paulette Maehara, who is retiring after nearly 13 years with the organisation.
