Gifts spread smiles of joy at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

SANTA made an unseasonal stop this month to deliver a sack load of festive goodies to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Members of JCI Manchester organised a toy drive before Christmas to bring smiles to those who were spending the festive season in hospital.
The business community in Manchester collected 149 gifts, which were delivered by JCI president Deborah Rainford and marketing director Rob Illidge this week.
From childhood favourites like Buzz Lightyear to books and games, Manchester companies dug deep to make a difference to children in the city.
Deborah Rainford said: “To be able to personally deliver gifts to the children was a very moving experience. We were astounded by the generosity shown in our toy appeal.
“Seeing a little face light up with the gift of a tea set or toy car was a magical feeling.”
Angela Harris, charities officer at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, added: “Christmas is a very important time for children and their families and we feel humbled to have been remembered by businesses across the city.
Deborah Rainford and Rob Illidge work at Manchester law firm Ralli.
