Get that happy ActionAid feeling on Blue Monday
Admittedly that headline reads like a rather cheesy commercial, but I think that’s part of the attraction of this event. ActionAid is going to make the best out of one of the worst dates in the year.
Blue Monday, on 17 January, is said to be one of the most depressing days of the year.
ActionAid is going to counter that (and no doubt garner some good media coverage in the process) by running an event in London “recreating the amazing feelings people get from supporting ActionAid”.

The 7am – 7pm event, the Happy Bubble, “involves space hoppers, blue monsters and free massages – all crammed into giant bubbles”.
It takes place in the middle of the City of London, at Finsbury Avenue Square, Broadgate (nearest tube Liverpool Street station). There’s no charge to turn up, and you can even choose how the event should smell. Yes, really. I chose chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven.
Overall, a clever donor acknowlegement (and recruitment, no doubt) take on another of these new dates in the calendar.
