I took a look at our local free newspaper the other day, before it went into the recycling. I was intrigued by one article in particular. A Bristol born woman was in line to receive the legion of honour. Geraldine Whittaker was a name that I recognised. Could it be the one who is a trustee of The Parthenon Trust? Searching online for that article led me to a more detailed article in the Bristol Evening Post, which mentioned her maiden name, the fact that she had already been awarded a CBE (check), she lives in Switzerland with her husband John (check), and her late father had established a local (Bristol) family firm. The more I rummaged, the more local people I found who appeared to have connections to the wealthy trustee.
While I cannot be certain that it is the same person, I am pretty sure, and will continue to rummage.
