Northern Bank exceeds charity target despite recession

Howard Lake | 2 February 2010 | News

The Northern Bank in Northern Ireland has revealed that last year it raised over £160,000 for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC), the highest total since its charity partner programme began.
Despite a challenging year for the Northern, the charity inspired widespread support across the bank from both customers, who gave generously, and staff who took part in fundraising events.
The bank has also committed to donating a total of £25,000 for all charity savings products opened during 2010 as well as pledging to raise more money through additional staff and branch activities.
