With lots of families needing somewhere to stay close to their child in hospital this Christmas, Ronald McDonald House Charities UK has launched its Christmas Bedside Appeal to raise funds to enable more families to be together.

Shelter’s emotive film shows a mother and daughter forced to spend Christmas in their car, highlighting that many people won’t have a home to spend it in this year.
Ben & Andy’s Christmas Charity Appeal 2021
For the past five years Ben and Andy have been making fake John Lewis Adverts showing an alternative Christmas in partnership with its chosen charities. This year instead it’s made a film with real people who represent all of the families of loved ones living with muscle wasting conditions. It is fundraising for Muscular Dystropy UK.

Christian Aid is asking people to stand with mums on the frontline of the climate crisis this Christmas, like Adut in South Sudan.
Demelza Hospice Care for Children
Demelza’s Festive Wishes Christmas Appeal film stars its Fall on Me choir of children, families, staff and volunteers, which was formed during lockdown. The appeal asks people to donate to help it create more magical moments for children and their families this Christmas and ensure they receive the care and support they need in 2022.
Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity
Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity has made its first Christmas video for its Unlock Dyslexia Christmas Appeal. It asks people to donate to help ensure everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, age or location, can unlock the power of their dyslexia.
Sepsis Research FEAT
Sepsis Research FEAT’s Christmas campaign features supporters from across the country who are sharing their sepsis stories so that more people become aware of the symptoms and why it is vital to seek urgent medical attention if you spot them. The charity is also inviting others who have experienced sepsis to get involved by sharing their own stories online.

Hope for Justice worked with animation specialists Flow Creative on its appeal film, which tells the story of Emily, a survivor of human trafficking.
Francis House Children’s Hospice
Francis House Children’s Hospice launched its new film to an audience of 200 guests at its annual Christmas fundraising ball which raised more than £55k in profit. Featuring parents and carers, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, the film demonstrates the impact that the hospice has on their lives.
