Each One Counts – more and more

Each One Counts, the national recycling campaign, is encouraging more and more people to raise money for charity at no cost simply by helping the environment.
Recent visitor numbers to the www.eachonecounts.co.uk website are over 500% up on 12 months ago. This dramatic increase has been driven in part by extensive publicity in the national media about the recent YouGov research, sponsored by Each One Counts. This made many thousands more people aware of the opportunity to do good twice over, at no cost, just by recycling printer cartridges and mobiles to raise money for a charity. A great deal of interest has been created.
The YouGov research showed that only about half of the UK population are currently recycling their cartridges and mobiles, leaving around £130 million additional income available to charities at no cost simply by improving their recycling schemes.
Each One Counts is open to all charities to get involved. The scheme raises money for any charity by encouraging supporters to recycle things that can be reused – and it is completely free both to the charity and their supporters. Harnessing the power of the Internet, Each One Counts captures supporter data to enable easy and inexpensive communications. It also allows supporters to add Gift Aid very simply, further boosting charity income.
