Online Shopping Malls Dominate Charity And Group Fundraising Drives

Howard Lake | 9 May 2006 | News

Affinity Shopper, the power behind 4Rcharity, 4Rchurch, 4Rclub, and 4Rschool announce initial figures for their May launch with over 100 malls opening within the first week of trade.
Almost 40% of the malls were opened by charities, who have reported an immediate response to their malls with £400 spent online alone through the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust mall within the first 24 hours of operation.
Churches, clubs, and community centres have also responded well to the initiative, eager to upgrade their fundraising and collection resources inline with the modern trend for online shopping. Meanwhile, 4Rschool, launched ahead of schedule on May 5th with a drive for schools to see a return on their PC expenditure following a BCC report on aging computers within primary schools, saw three schools open a mall within the day.
Malls have opened the length and breadth of the UK from Essex to the Angus Glens in Scotland, and back down to Cardiff, with a huge surge in new mall openings expected in the coming weeks.
“Prior to launch, we had numerous organisations and individuals pre-register to Affinity Shopper, while through March and April we had 9,000 organisations request further information,” revealed operations director for Affinity Shopper, Philip Price.
Affinity Shopper is a powerful new online product that provides organisations and individuals with their very own free, personalised online shopping mall business. Each mall provides doorways to hundreds of high street retailers, all of whom pay commission for every sale made. Mall owners are therefore able to secure a steady revenue stream without any capital outlay, technical expertise, or taking any time away from their busy schedule.
To celebrate the launch of the service, Affinity Shopper is offering all organisations and individuals who open a mall during the month of May a complimentary upgrade to the Pro version of the service worth £49.99. The Pro product offers even greater adaptability and own branding of the mall, with the additional facility to create your own webpages on your mall following a simple step-by-step guide.
To register for this launch promotion, sign up for a mall using the promotion code 252473 at the Affinity Shopper site, www.affinityshopper.co.uk, or by visiting any of the individual portals, 4Rcharity.co.uk, 4Rchurch.co.uk, 4Rclub.co.uk, and 4Rschool.co.uk
