Redeem develops Gift Aid element to its charity recycling appeals

Howard Lake | 23 April 2007 | News

Recycling company Redeem plc has developed a Gift Aid solution for its fundraising Recycling Appeals which will allow its charity partners to claim an extra 28% of the value of goods recycled on their behalf.

Redeem say that the process “is fully compliant with HMRC requirements”. It means that income from recycling donated mobile phones and printer cartridges can now be increased.

In eight years Redeem’s Recycling Appeals have raised over £2.5 million for charities and good causes.

Chief Executive Jamie Rae said: “We are committed to offering best value to our charity partners to ensure maximum funds are raised through our Recycling Appeals. The introduction of this Gift Aid solution will enable us to take this commitment even further allowing an additional 28% of the value of the goods to be donated without costing the charities’ supporters a penny.”

Redeem’s charity partners include Marie Curie Cancer Care, the RSPB and Macmillan Cancer Support.
