Film and photographic support organisation Four Corners today launches its new purpose-built film and photography centre in London’s Bethnal Green, after it qualified for matched funding for the project following a £286,000 loan from Unity Trust Bank.

Four Corners is a long-standing client of Unity Trust Bank, a specialist provider of banking services to the trade union and charity and voluntary sectors.

Carla Mitchell, Development Director for Four Corners, said: “The loan from Unity made all the difference in the world, we simply could not have done it without their support. We really appreciate their faith in us as an organisation. Unity is unique as a bank in understanding the needs of voluntary sector organisations.”

The £1 million redevelopment budget was supported by European Regional Development Fund, London Borough of Tower Hamlets’ Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, London Development Agency via City Fringe Partnership, Arts Council England and London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

The newly refurbished centre effectively doubles the charity’s training capacity. It now provides a gallery with screening facilities; 3 training rooms, 2 production offices, 2 edit suites, a digital hub for film and photographic applications.
