Unity Trust Bank president elected as TUC president

Dave Prentis, the president of Unity Trust Bank, which specialises in the provision of banking services to the trade union, charity, voluntary and not-for-profit sectors, has been elected as President of the TUC.

Prentis, General Secretary of Unison, was appointed as the President of Unity Trust Bank in 2003 following the retirement of John Edmonds, General Secretary of the GMB.

Prentis was born and brought up in Leeds and went to the University of London where he studied history. He has a Masters degree in industrial relations from the University of Warwick.
