Institute publishes Fundraisers Handbook on CD-Rom

The Institute of Fundraising has published this year’s edition of the Fundraisers Handbook, comprising the Who’s Who of members and the Codes of Fundraising Practice. For the first time it has been published as a CD-Rom.

The Institute said that it had chosen the CD-Rom format after feedback from its members. The previous printed edition had certainly been a weighty tome and no doubt expensive to print and post.

The CD-Rom has several benefits: users can email people directly from the CD or download the whole document to their PC. Readers can also increase the font size easily if they wish to.

A letter to Institute members accompanying the CD-Rom mentioned another new publication due shortly from the Institute. “The Good Fundraising Guide” is an introduction to fundraising and a downloadable version will be available shortly from the Institute’s website.

The guide will look at the plans that need to be in place before money can be raised and at specific fundraising techniques. It will point readers in the direction of further advice, training and additional information.
