Bursaries enable smaller charities to attend Communications conference for free

Smaller charities can now apply for a bursary to enable them to attend Charity Communications ’07, the second national event for charity communications professionals, for free or at half price.
The scheme has been made possible with the support of NatWest & The Royal Bank
of Scotland which are offering four free places and a further six tickets at half price.
Tickets, worth £190 each, will be available to applicants able to show that attendance at Charity Communications ’07 would help the organisation they work or volunteer for to communicate better.

The bursary scheme is open only to applicants working for or with an organisation that had an annual income of less than £1 million in the last financial year.
Charity Communications ’07 on 17 May in London will feature high profile speakers including the Prime Minister’s former official spokesman Alastair Campbell, the former editor of Radio 4’s Today Programme Kevin Marsh, and The Guardian’s public services editor David Brindle.
Speakers from the charity sector include Betty McBride, director of communications at the British Heart Foundation, and Polly Neate, director of communications at NCH and former editor Community Care magazine.
Applications for the bursaries must be received by 15 March 2007. You can still apply even if you have already registered for the conference, and refunds will be made to any who are successful.
