FARM-Africa expands fundraising team

FARM-Africa has restructured and expanded its fundraising team led by Michael Newsome, Director of Fundraising, with five new appointments.

Suzanne Jackson has joined the FARM-Africa team in the new role of Head of Individual Giving. She will focus on bringing together direct marketing fundraising with supporter services to strengthen the charity’s customer care for its fast growing supporter base. Previously she was Direct Marketing Manager at Sense for two and a half years after working for Cancer Research UK’s Direct Marketing team.

Rachel Beckett joins her as FARM-Africa’s new Direct Marketing Manager. She spent three years as Individual Giving Manager at BLISS, the premature baby charity.

Helen Smith has joined the international development charity as the new Supporter Services Manager from Amnesty International UK. She has previously worked at Asthma UK and Marie Curie Cancer Care. She is the chair of the Steering Group of the Voluntary Sector Customer Care Forum (VSCCF), which aims to improve and develop Customer Care throughout the sector.

Polly Symondson rejoins the charity sector taking on the role of Community and Events Fundraising Manager. Polly was a Senior Account Manager at Cascaid Marketing where she was responsible for direct marketing campaigns for a portfolio of international and national charities. Polly has previously worked in community fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.

These new appointments are joining Tumu Kazunga who was recently appointed to the role of Corporate Partnerships Manager. He joined FARM-Africa from Save The Children where he was Corporate Development Executive.
