Community Channel to air programme on new philanthropy

On Friday 15 December, The Community Channel will air “The Generous Gene”, a new programme that examines the emergence of a new breed of super rich who “are changing the culture of giving in Britain”.
The programme focuses on young philanthropists who are using their entrepreneurial skills “to provide increasingly ingenious ways to give” and !finding pleasure in using their money to create social change”.
The programme includes an interview with Charles Handy, who has recently published a book on the new philanthropists.

The programme will be premiered on the Community Channel on Friday 15 Decemeber at 20.00, and repeated on Sunday 17 December at 18.00.
The Community Channel describe it as “a must for anyone involved in fundraising and charity work.”
