IWITOT launches competition to find young speakers

The 5th annual SOFII I Wish I’d Thought Of That is seeking three young fundraisers to speak at the event in November.
IWITOT takes place on 30th November this year, and is again running its I Want To Talk At That competition, which gives young and up-and-coming fundraisers an opportunity to speak at the event.
Applicants must submit a video of themselves, talking about the fundraising idea they wish they had thought of in seven minutes.

Each of the three winners will be paired with a fundraising mentor, who will help prepare them to present at IWITOT in November. This year’s mentors are Breast Cancer Care’s director of fundraising and marketing Andy Harris, director of fundraising and engagement at Diabetes UK Kath Abrahams, and SOFII founder and fundraising specialist Ken Burnett.
IWTTAT also has a new website for this year, with further details, an application form for the competition, and a video from Laura Croudace who won the audience vote at last year’s event.

Croudace said:
“I would love to do it all over again, it has given me so much and I would have never gone on to do the things I have done since, if I hadn’t applied for I Want To Talk At That.”
Applications for IWTTAT are now open via the site and the closing date is Friday 9th September.
This year’s IWITOT takes place at Amnesty’s Human Rights Action Centre in Shoreditch.
