Pears Foundation extends Pennies support
Pears Foundation has announced that it is to support Pennies for a further two years. bringing its support for the digital charity box to over five years and a total of £700,000 in grants.
The independent family grant-maker invests £15-20 million of private money every year into good causes that are chosen through its own research and networks, and has worked with over 250 partner organisations to date.
Alison Hutchinson CBE, chief executive of Pennies said:
“We are growing the micro-donation movement to benefit many UK charities by encouraging new givers and new giving. It is therefore vital for us to secure core funding and are hugely appreciative of the sustained financial support from grants such as this.”
Pennies has raised more than £6.5m for charities in the last five years, supporting more than 100 charities and receiving more than 28m donations via over 50 participating retailers.
