Heineken to help local communities through Neighbourly.com
Heineken has joined the social platform Neighbourly.com to enable its employees to help local communities across the UK.
The company has joined Neighbourly to help it fulfil its responsible business strategy across its UK seven sites. The sites include its breweries, cideries and offices, and employ more than 2,000 people.
Through Neighbourly, Heineken staff will be able to find and help local causes that interest them, and also measure the impact of their involvement both locally and also nationwide.
Jeremy Beadles, corporate relations director at HEINEKEN UK, said:
“Our breweries, offices and pubs have been at the heart of local communities for years so it’s really important that we play our part in making them better places to live and work. With seven sites across the UK our partnership with Neighbourly will help us connect with local community causes around our sites, so we can make sure our community investment has a real local impact, but on a national scale.”
Since its launch in July 2014, Neighbourly businesses have pledged more than £2,1m, 9,246 volunteer days and 50 tonnes of food surplus, and have backed 486 causes.
