Children’s hospice opens its first boutique charity shop
Children’s hospice Haven House has opened its first boutique shop at 849 Leytonstone High Road, London E11. It is the charity’s first boutique and joins he charity’s other shops in Epping High Road and Chingford Mount.
The boutique shop has been designed to present a chic, vintage feel with chandeliers, Moorish rugs and retro display cabinets. It sells high-quality men’s, women’s and children’s-wear, and also has as a section for interiors.
Matt Lord, Head of Retail at the Woodford Green-based charity, said:
“We wanted to offer a real point of difference from what other charity shops are offering in the area, to appeal to a wider customer base.”
On the choice of location he said: “Leytonstone is an up-and-coming area with lots of footfall, so it’s the ideal location to trial a boutique concept.”
The charity has already begun inviting Leystonstone residents to donate their used (or “pre-loved”) goods to the new shop, to volunteer and to visit the shop.
