Argos supports Wavemakers' Awards for children

National charity Wavemakers has opened nominations for its second annual awards.

Wavemakers, which has launched a new partnership with Argos as a major supporter of this year’s awards, recognises children and young people who have taken the initiative to help themselves and empower others in the areas of social care, education and health.

The charity is seeking nominations for inspirational initiatives or projects, which have been led by children or young people, in the following categories:

Children aged 12 and under (individuals or groups)
Children and young people aged 13-19 (individuals and groups)
Organisation or service led initiatives which have been led and inspired by children and young people

Nominations close at the end of February and the Awards ceremony will take place on July 6th 2006 in London.
