Local newspapers to fundraise online for charities

Howard Lake | 5 December 1999 | News

US local newspapers are being offered free software from an e-commerce supplier to encourage them to launch appeals with local charities. Open Market, Inc and InfiNet have announced their 1999 We Care programme, “a national online community-giving program for the holiday season.”

Each newspaper will be given a free copy of Open Market’s e-commerce software ShopSite™ until 31 January 2000, together with free store hosting through InfiNet, and free training and support services.
