Charities that will benefit include Canal & Rover Trust, PDSA, WaterAid and Missing People.

“The supported charities set to receive this extra £25,000 provide vital services across Great Britain and internationally, so I am delighted that this extra funding will enable them to progress with their work. As the number of players continues to increase the amounts awarded to charities will only continue to rise”.

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home was another of the charities which receive an extra £25,000. It follows an earlier grant to the Home of £50,000 which Battersea invested in a special ‘stress squad’, a team of volunteers who focused on reducing the anxiety felt by dogs and cats waiting for a new home.
