Prezi highlights charities’ presentations with Prezi Causes campaign

Prezi, creators of “presentation software reimagined”, has begun an email campaign to its users which highlights global problems and some of the organisations that are tackling them and which need support.
Over the next few months, its ‘Prezi Causes’ campaign will “highlight some of the biggest problems facing the world today, and how you can be part of the solution without ever leaving your desk”. These emails will be sent over the next few months to some of the software company’s 50 million users.
The first to be featured is The Ocean Cleanup, based in the Netherlands, which develops technologies to extract, prevent, and intercept plastic pollution.
Of course Prezi highlights charities and nonprofits that use its presentation tool. So, its first email campaign, sent today, directs recipients to The Ocean Cleanup’s Prezi.
It is not clear how an organisation gets featured in Prezi Causes, beyond the fact that its work must tackle a global problem and that it already uses Prezi. The company simply states “These ideas have moved us and inspired us—we hope they will do the same for you”.
