Niece of tsunami victim raises funds in his memory
The niece of Robin Needham, who worked for Care International and who died in the Boxing Day tsunami in south east Asia, has persuaded artists and celebrities to donate postcard size drawings for a charity auction.
Daisy Bell has persuaded people such as Paul McCartney, Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin to donate items. Around 60 items have been auctioned in Edinburgh and a further 200 items were auctioned online.
The funds generated will be used to help villages affected by the tsunami.

Daisy admitted that it took some effort to persuade some of the celebrities to take part, but she used her “persuasive powers” according to BBC Scotland. This included contacting Damien Hirst via her next-door neighbour who was “a friend of a friend of a friend”.
