Course planned on payroll giving programme

A new training programme, ‘Making Local Business Your Business,’ will hold a one day workshop on Tuesday 13th September at the Wellington Park Hotel, Belfast. The programme is designed to help charities make the most of the Payroll Giving Grants scheme.
The Institute of Fundraising course costs £40 or £30 for individual members of the Institute. The fee includes printed course materials and lunch. Local fundraising consultant Trevor Gill will facilitate the course.
The government recently announced a new scheme designed to encourage small to medium sized employers in Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK to set up payroll giving schemes for their employees.

Employers setting up new schemes can claim a one off grant of up to £500. In additiion. the first £10 of each employee’s monthly donations will be matched, pound for pound, for a period of six months.
