Major philanthropy events planned for later in the year

Philanthropy promotion bodies in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have revealed plans for major philanthropy events in May and June this year.

Following on from the successful Philanthropy Fortnight last year in Northern Ireland, plans are developing for Philanthropy Fortnight 2014 during 6th May – 16th May. This period will be dedicated to celebrating and raising awareness of Philanthropy in Northern Ireland.

The 2013 programme included a number of events and the launch of research into philanthropy and charitable giving. The Community Foundation NI and Arts and Business delivered the programme in partnership with Giving NI.

Getting Started with TikTok: An Introduction to Fundraising & Supporter Engagement

In June Giving NI in partnership with Philanthropy Ireland, will be hosting the first All Ireland Philanthropy Conference in Dublin Castle.  The conference will take place on 13th June, with further details announced shortly.

Giving NI and Philanthropy Ireland have both been supported by Atlantic Philanthropies and other sources to promote philanthropy.
