All net proceeds from Sky One’s new reality TV football programme, The Match, which starts today, will be donated equally between charities NCH and the Chicken Shed Theatre Company.

The Match involves a squad of footballing celebrities taking on a team of Premiership Legends. All net proceeds from interactive voting, ticket sales and merchandise will be given to the charities, with “at least £25,000” going to each.

Both charities were finalists in Sky’s recent Make It Big initiative.
