Wiremill Publishing has launched the first 23 titles in its new QuickGuides series of 24-page books covering many different aspects of the voluntary sector.

Fundraising, technology, governance and marketing are among the 23 titles available this year, with another 50 titles planned for 2005.

QuickGuides are designed as an inexpensive way of learning about a subject quickly and easily. Unusually they are non-country specific. Every guide is written by a practitioner in one country and reviewed by a practitioner in another country.

Nancy Bikson, MD of Wiremill Publishing, said: “After 25 years in the sector I know how desperately short of time everyone is and how much good, authoritative, quick information is needed. QuickGuides are written like bullet points or the notes of a speech.”

The QuickGuide to Understanding Fundraising was written by Adrienne Hall, an independent consultant in marketing and development to arts and education.

Each QuickGuide costs £8.
