192.com offers 2004 Electoral Roll to search online

Howard Lake | 16 August 2004 | News

Online directory site 192.com is offering the new 2004 Electoral Roll as a searchable database.

You can search the Electoral Roll by postcode, street name, door number or house name only if you wish.

192.com point out that the restrictions on searching the Directory Enquiries database do not apply to the Electoral Roll, so researchers have much greater flexibility. For example, if you are searching for someone but do not know where they live, you can run a national search for them. Also, if you are looking for someone with a common name, you can narrow down the results by including their partner’s name in the search criteria.

The 192.com site’s databases now contain more than 130 million records. Indeed, you can now search the 2002, 2003 and 2004 Electoral Rolls on the site.

To do so you need to sign up to 192.com’s Premium Access service which costs £99.
