WI Calendar Girls now offer holidays to film locations

We’ve had the calendar, the book, the film – now you can even book a holiday in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with donations from any profits being made to the Leukaemia Research Fund.
Calendar Girls Holidays is the latest endeavour in the phenomenon of the nude calendar from the members of the Rylstone and District WI which raised funds for the Leukaemia Research Fund (LRF). The tours of locations used in the film “Calendar Girls” are the idea of Tricia Stewart, who was played by Helen Mirren in the film of “Calendar Girls”.
The first holiday in April 2004 was fully booked, so this could prove another valuable income stream for the LRF.

The calendar has now raised £910,000 for the LRF, and a 2005 ‘slimline’ Calendar Girls calendar will be available from July 2004.
