Launch of £125 million futurebuilders fund consultation
The Treasury and the Compact Working Group have launched a consultation document on proposals for how to use the new £125 million futurebuilders fund which was announced as part of the 2002 Spending Review.
The futurebuilders fund is designed to assist the voluntary and community sector to deliver public services, developing capacity in such areas as health and social care, crime and social cohesion, education and learning, and support for children and young people.
The fund is mainly for capital investment, with 80% earmarked for that and 20% for resource spending. The funding is available over the three years of the review, up to 2005-06.
