Oxfam wins 2002 Seoul Peace Prize
Oxfam received the $200,000 award for its work to relieve poverty, distress, and suffering.
The award is made every two years and was instituted after the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. It is designed to recognise an individual or organisation that makes a major contribution to international peace and harmony.
The award comes just one month before Oxfam marks its 60th anniversary.
