Many fundraisers at smaller charities also have other responsibilities, including various public information activities. A useful forum for such fundraisers is the Voluntary Sector Information Workers’ Forum. VOLSIF was set up in the late 1980s to facilitate networking amongst information workers in the voluntary sector in London, UK.

It provides a forum for information workers to share information on skills, ideas and resources, and works to raise the profile and promote greater understanding of information work in the voluntary sector. It also provides an e-mail discussion list.
