If clicking once a day on a button to donate to charity at no cost to yourself still sounds a lot of work, you can now click once to donate to 86 different non-profits.

If clicking once a day on a button to donate to charity at no cost to yourself still sounds a lot of work, you can now click once to donate to 86 different non-profits. Wiseup.org have created the Daily Donation Page which lets you choose which click-to-give-for-free site you would like to contribute to. You then simply click on their single button and this transmits your click to all the other sites.

Hidden behind the page is a clever Perl script. In fact, some of the sites listed don’t accept clicks using this automated method. Nevertheless, the resulting page loads all the different click-to-give-for-free sites in one page and highlights which ones you need to visit yourself. The results page takes a long time to download as a result.

It’s an amusing service. Yet it highlights how click-to-give-for-free sites in themselves do not work hard enough at communicating with the supporter. This site shows how it is possible to distance the supporter even further from the non-profit by acting as a middle-person.
