Following media criticism of the NSPCC over its spending priorities, its finance director is attending a conference tomorrow that aims to improve public confidence in charities through transparency and accountability.

The conference is a collaboration by sector bodies The Institute of Charity Fundraising Managers (ICFM), the Charity Finance Directors’ Group (CFDG) and the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations. It will be attended by both finance and fundraising directors with a view to how to use annual accounts to promote a charity in an effective and honest way.
