It has also teamed up with World Wildlife Fund offering rare coins and texts in a charity auction. These include a gilt-stamped edition of Brave New World autographed by Aldous Huxley in 1932. Only 321 copies were printed; the pages remain uncut.

The link with WWF is particularly apt since the charity is running an appeal to preserve the biodiversity of the Amazon River Basin. If that is your subject then an association with online giant Amazon.com is a sensible fundraising move. (15/4/1999)
The even went on to raise $260,000 for WWF, who are reported as saying that they didn’t have to spend anything on the event.
