Oxfam UK & Ireland is promoting its secure Web donation form on its paper publications.
The charity’s current Public Awareness Survey includes the following text on its Banker’s Order/Regular Giving Form:
“To make a donation over the Internet, visit the Oxfam safe donation site: http://www.oneworld.org/oxfam/donation/”

Note the attempt to emphasise the safety and security of the Web site. Ironically charities don’t have to add such a comment to their telephone hotlines. Oxfam’s wording though is sensible given some donors’ concerns over security.
