Here are some more tips, ideas, examples, inspiration, and quirky snippets for fundraisers from the wonderful world of Twitter.

1. Video on LinkedIn

There’s now another social network – and pretty much the oldest of the bunch – that lets you upload and share video. LinkedIn has begun to catch up, although only via the mobile app. And you know that native video ie. uploading the video to your post and not just sharing a link to it on YouTube etc is the way to do it.

2. Blue plaques for fundraisers

Some British Red Cross recognition for one of its fundraising team. It is a one-off, but maybe this kind of recognition could spread to other fundraising offices. It reminds me of the style of professional confidence and self-respect evidenced in Ian MacQuillin’s ‘This is a fundraising office’ manifesto.

3. Mobile giving

Jenny turner at Turner PR spotted the continued rise in online donations made via mobile apps.

The figure comes from Blackbaud’s 2016 Charitable Giving Report which was referenced in a Guardian article, How apps and tech are transforming the way charities raise money by Cath Everett.
