Melanie May | 17 March 2017 | News

The Mason Trust is looking for young people in Norfolk and Suffolk who have an idea that they need funding help for.
Founded in 2008 by businesswoman Yvonne Mason, The Mason Trust’s aim is to help young people between the ages of 12 and 25 and living in Norfolk and Suffolk, to reach their full potential by offering grants to help them achieve a dream, idea, or aspiration.
Its next funding application deadline is 5th June.
The Trust recently supported an engineering student, Cameron McKie (pictured), by providing a grant towards the cost of books for his course at Brown University in the US, and also by sourcing a summer work placement at SafeSTS, an international lightering company which is one of a group of companies founded by Yvonne Mason.
The Trust also works with schools and places of further education to forge stronger links between education and industry, to give students the widest choice when deciding on a career.
