City Giving Day 2017 date announced
This year’s City Giving Day will take place on Tuesday 26th September.
The event gives businesses across London the opportunity to share their charitable and volunteering efforts with employees, clients, suppliers and the public, as well as to encourage more people to volunteer and to raise money.
Last year’s City Giving Day saw 211 companies take part, involving more than 200 charities. Over £300,000 was raised for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, charities and community groups, and up to 4,000 new volunteers were recruited. More than 200 organisations are also taking part this year.
Companies can still get involved with this year’s City Giving Day with the Lord Mayor to hold a number of breakfasts to provide more information, and can also register an event or donate online.
This year’s Lord Mayor’s Appeal supports LSO Discovery, St Paul’s Music Outreach and Music in Hospitals.
