The 2017 Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award launched last week (2nd November), with the introduction of a Social Purpose Award.
The new category has been launched to celebrate businesswomen that champion social purpose beyond their core business case. It will be awarded to candidates who share the same qualities Madame Clicquot is said to have had, described as ‘a passion for creating strong, longstanding business relationships, loyalty, and a commitment to business beyond profit’.
There are also two other awards to be won: The Business Woman Award, and the New Generation Award, which is for women under 35.
The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is now in its 44th year, and celebrates the success of business women worldwide. Past winners include Dame Marjorie Scardino DBE FRSA, Anya Hindmarch MBE and Dame Zaha Hadid DBE.
This year’s call for nominations is open until Friday 30th December 2016 at 18.00. Nominees must be an official resident of the United Kingdom and the business must be based/operating in the United Kingdom.
Julie Nollet, marketing & communications director, Moët Hennessy UK, said:

“The Veuve Clicquot Social Purpose Award celebrates businesswomen that maximise benefit through profit, who create a positive impact on people or the environment. This is about shining a light on a new business category, one that has huge relevance today, one that has a social or environmental mission at its core. “
