Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day beats sign-up targets

Melanie May | 7 June 2016 | News

The Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day has beaten sign-up targets with over a week still to go before the event.
The charity’s first Cupcake Day takes place on 16th June, and more than 10,000 people have signed up for the event so far. Cupcake Day is held in association with Woman & Home Magazine, and encourages people to get together to host events, bake, and eat cupcakes to raise funds for the charity.
GOOD Agency delivered the event concept, designed the Cupcake Day microsite, digital banners, photo shoot, DM pack, social ads and launch film, as well as radio adverts featuring Ruth Jones, best known for her roles in Gavin & Stacey and Stella, as the voice over.
Chef and TV presenter Lorraine Pascale is supporting the event by sharing her favourite cupcake recipe, while Great British Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood has shared the nation’s favourite cupcake recipe, which is chocolate.
