Apple & WWF team up with Apps for Earth
Apple and WWF have launched an initiative to raise awareness of conservation issues, and to raise funds for the charity’s work.
Apps for Earth runs until 24th April and coincides with Earth Day on 22nd April. The campaign sees WWF receiving 100% of the proceeds from the sales of 27 participating apps and In-App Purchases in the App store.

The apps all feature new content celebrating WWF’s global conservation work in its key focus areas of forests, oceans, fresh water, wildlife, food and climate. Participating apps include Angry Birds 2, which sees the infamous pigs overfishing the oceans and asks players to stop them, and SimCity BuildIt, which includes three new quests that support forests, oceans, and wildlife.
WWF’s own app, WWF Together, is also participating with new content: as well as including stories of the world’s most amazing animals, it now includes Earth Story.
