ICO to hold free webinar on updated direct marketing guidance

Melanie May | 11 April 2016 | News

The Information Commissioner’s Office is holding a free webinar for charities on its updated direct marketing guidance this month.
It takes place on Thursday 14th April at 2pm and will focus on the changes made in March that specifically apply to not-for-profit organisations and charities. These include more guidance for marketing calls and texts, including the requirement to screen donors against the TPS, and on explicit consent and opt-in.
Group Enforcement Manager, Andy Curry and Senior Policy Officer, Ian Inman will talk through examples and there will an opportunity to submit questions throughout the presentation.
The new version of the guidance is available on the ICO’s site and registration for the webinar is here.
