Rethink Mental Illness promotes gardening in acquisition campaign

Melanie May | 6 April 2016 | News

Rethink Mental Illness is launching a campaign to coincide with National Gardening Week, which takes place from 11th-17th April.
The Nurture your Nature campaign promotes the therapeutic link between gardening and mental wellbeing and will provide all new donors with packets of camomile seeds. When people donate online, they will be sent a packet of the seeds, with advice on how to grow them available as a download.
Rethink Mental Illness offers gardening as a therapeutic activity in a number of its groups and services around the country and donations for the seed packet will help support this work.
Fiona Magor from Rethink Mental Illness said:

“We know from our groups and services all around the country that gardening can be a great way to stay mentally healthy. That’s why we wanted to get everyone involved. The camomile seeds we are sending donors are easy to care for, and the money raised will mean we can support more support groups and services around the country.”
