BeyondMe launches the Daniel Phelan cohort

BeyondMe, which brings professionals and businesses together with charities, has launched its third cohort, named after Daniel Phelan, the late founder and editor-in-chief of Civil Society Media, who passed away earlier this year.
Fifty professionals from businesses including Allen & Overy, Deloitte, EY and PwC came together to form the Daniel Phelan cohort. Each one will start their own team of seven professionals who will donate their time, skills and money together for a year to one of BeyondMe’s portfolio charities, with matched funding and mentoring from a senior sponsor in their business.
As well as launching the new cohort, BeyondMe has added a further 36 charities to its 50-strong portfolio, which will benefit from the expertise and help of the cohort teams.
Kawika Solidum, chief executive of BeyondMe commented:

“The BeyondMe movement embodies the millennial generation; we are generous, want to give together and want to connect meaningfully with a cause. BeyondMe inspired 50 highly motivated millennials to better understand the social sector. Each of them will now mobilise six colleagues to form a BeyondMe team and tackle a social cause together over the next 12 months.”
