New Executive Director of Philanthropic Partnerships at Cancer Research UK
Cancer charity Cancer Research UK has appointed Nick Gaynor as executive director of philanthropic partnerships & development, an Executive Board position.
Gaynor brings extensive experience from the banking sector to the charity. As a former investment banker at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs, he spent many years working on strategic transactions with major corporates and private equity funds.
Frances Milner will join Gaynor in the role. She has over 20 years fundraising experience both in a range of supporter-facing roles at Cancer Research UK and as fundraising director of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
Both Gaynor and Milner will report to Harpal Kumar, chief executive. They will be responsible for strengthening Cancer Research UK’s focus on building and sustaining relationships with high value individual donors, corporate partners and high value supporters.
Kumar said: “We’re delighted to welcome Nick to Cancer Research UK. Nick’s wealth of experience will be invaluable for the charity’s future growth and ambitions to reach new heights in the high value arena. I am also pleased to appoint Frances as executive director and look forward to working closely with them both to develop the work Cancer Research UK does with our partners.”
