Ecommerce service Shopify has joined Technology Trust’s tt-exchange programme, meaning that UK charities can now set up an online shop to raise funds for just 5% of the standard charge.
Shopify enables you to create an online shop, manage inventory, handle payments, analyse sales performance, and integrate the resultant data with a variety of other tools including Mailchimp and Salesforce.
It can also be used to accept payments at offsite events and physical stores by running the Shopify point-of-sale (POS) system on an iPad.
Charities that are eligible can gain access to Shopify’s Unlimited Plan for one year by paying a single  must pay a single administration fee. This is £66 for charities with an annual income of less than £300,000, and £132 for charities with a larger annual income. After that first year charities have the option of downgrading their plan whilst still enjoying a nonprofit discount.
Since 2006 Shopify has handled over $8 billion in online sales for over 165,000 merchants. UK Fundraising has used it for several years to run its online shop of fundraising advice.
The tt-exchange service offers technology products and services to charities at a steep discount.
